Job Description
. Patient Care
- Diagnosing Illnesses: Assessing symptoms and performing necessary tests to diagnose diseases and health conditions.
- Treatment Planning: Developing appropriate treatment plans based on diagnosis, including medication, therapies, and surgeries.
- Monitoring Progress: Regularly reviewing patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
2. Medical Examinations
- Physical Exams: Conducting routine check-ups and health assessments to detect any early signs of illness.
- Specialized Tests: Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, MRIs, or ultrasounds.
3. Prescribing Medication
- Prescriptions: Writing prescriptions for medication and providing instructions on their proper use.
- Medication Management: Monitoring patients’ responses to medication and adjusting prescriptions as necessary.
- Surgeries/Interventions: Performing surgeries or minor procedures when needed (for surgeons and other specialists).
- Emergency Care: Providing immediate treatment for urgent medical conditions like heart attacks, strokes, or traumatic injuries.
5. Patient Education and Counseling
- Health Education: Advising patients on lifestyle changes, nutrition, and preventative care to improve their health.

6. Collaborating with Healthcare Teams

7. Record Keeping and Documentation
- Medical Records: Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patients’ medical histories, diagnoses, and treatments.
- Compliance: Ensuring all documentation complies with healthcare regulations and laws, including patient confidentiality.
8. Research and Continuous Education
- Staying Updated: Keeping up with advancements in medical research and treatment techniques.
- Clinical Research: Participating in or conducting clinical research to improve patient care and medical knowledge.
9. Administrative Duties (in some cases)
- Managing Practices: Overseeing staff, finances, and operations of a private clinic or practice.
- Health Policy Involvement: Some doctors contribute to healthcare policy and management at the hospital or government level.
10. Emergency Response
