Job Description

Monitoring System Performance

  • Track system operations: Keep an eye on hardware performance, server uptime, and other vital parameters.
  • System health checks: Run regular diagnostics and system checks to ensure everything is functioning properly.
  • Handle system alerts: Respond to error messages or system warnings by identifying and addressing the underlying issue.

2. Operating and Maintaining Computer Systems

  • Software updates and patches: Ensure that operating systems, applications, and programs are updated with the latest versions.
  • Routine backups: Perform regular data backups and verify their integrity to ensure no data is lost.
  • Equipment maintenance: Perform basic hardware maintenance like cleaning, resetting, or rebooting systems.

3. Data Management

  • Data entry and processing: Enter data into the system and run processes to handle large datasets or batches.
  • File management: Organize, retrieve, and manage electronic files, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
  • Printing and distribution: Oversee print jobs, manage output (e.g., reports), and distribute them to the necessary departments.

4. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution

  • Diagnose system issues: Identify and troubleshoot hardware or software issues, escalating them to the IT department if necessary.
  • Resolve operational problems: Address operational errors quickly and ensure minimal downtime for the system.
  • Monitor logs: Review system logs to track potential issues or security breaches.

5. Security and Compliance

  • Monitor security protocols: Ensure systems are following proper security protocols to prevent breaches.
  • Access control: Manage user permissions and ensure that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive information.
  • Data privacy: Handle sensitive data in accordance with company policies and data protection regulations.

6. Communication and Reporting

  • Report issues: Document and report any technical problems to the IT or management team.
